XoL 18.00 is the 2nd release of XoL, a diskless (LIVE) Linux system, based
on the technology of SoL - Server optimized Linux 18.00 and SoL-desktop.
The most important features of XoL are:
* No harddisk is required to run and work with XoL
* XoL features the complete KDE 3.2 and Gnome 2.4 desktop environment.
* Hundreds of programs for home, office and educational use are available.
* Multimedia: Gimp, beep-media-player (xmms-clone), GXine,...
* Internet: XChat, Licq, Gnome-Meeting
* Linux Kernel 2.6.4
* Office-Tools: Complete OpenOffice 1.1.0 suite, KMail, KOrganizer, PDF-Viewer,

A special and very unique feature of XoL is called USB-TO-GO
("remote-home"). This offers the possibility to save and work on a
USB-storage device plugged in the computer system. This feature opens a
new world of computing. Whereever you go, all you need is the XoL-CD and
your personal USB-storage device and any computer can be used to continue
your work.
