The Linux Foundation

Med støtte fra firmaer såsom I.B.M, Intel og Hewlett-Packard er "The Linux Foundation" stiftet. The Linux Foundation skal markedsføre linux som et alternativ til windows. "the Open Source Development Labs" og the "Free Standards Group" ophører med at eksistere da de bliver optaget i denne nye organisation.
