Det betaler alle væsentlige Android leverandører til.

Så kan man overveje, at gøre det som #8 foreslår at lave boykot af Nokia - og i andre sammenhænge ville jeg nok også gøre dette, selvom min forkærlighed for Qt gjorde at jeg købte en N9. Dog forstår til fulde holdningen (selvom det jo ikke hjælper at råbe op om at andre skal lave boykot mens man selv render rundt med en Lumia i lommen - som på ingen måder er open source venlig).
Derudover er Nokia blot en lille brik i forbindelse med SWP. Det er efterhånden blevet en kamp hvor alle sagsøger alle - og jeg ved efterhånden ikke hvad man kan købe af smartphone uden at man skal betale til en-eller-anden tredjepart. Surt for forbrugeren - men vores politikere vil nok desværre ikke gribe ind. Google skal have ros for kun at bruge patenter passivt - men SWP-problemet rækker desværre langt udover Nokia, da langt de fleste virksomheder ikke har det fjerneste problem med at stjæle andres penge når det bare er lovligt. Desværre kan man ikke forvente at vores politikere, der er under kraftig påvirkning af lobbyister, vil afskaffe dette cirkus.

Næ det er bare et faktum at pressede firmaer bliver mere aggressive mht patenter og anden IP. (Se bare SCO). Samtidig er det en fejlagtig opfattelse at tro at virksomheder har moral (især i den situation). Så kan du snakke om undskyldning - men problemet er spillereglerne - ikke spillerne.

MS gjorde det først og størst
1: Boycutte MS software , også laptops med preloaded MS
2: Fraråde andre at købe MS software og bruge det ulovligt.
3: Lade være at reparere andre folks Windows og yde gratis MS support,.
4: Lade være at støtte porteringen af FOSS til deres lukkede platforme.
5: Flyt mere funktionalitet til Linux eller andre FOSS platforme
6: Undgå at binde folk til MS proprietære protokoller , få folk over på alternativer.
7: Lad være med at købe skod telefoner fra Nokia der pisser ud over folks friheder.
Jeg vil mene at punkt 7 er det LANGT nemmeste , du kan endda lade være med at få dit firma til at betale en Nokia telefon for dig.

Det er licensen, der er vigtig.
Derudover har patenterne og angreb med dem ikke noget med deres open source produkt at gøre ... Brug af Qt er ikke problematisk på samme måde som mono. Derudover tror jeg ikke man kan håndhæve patenter i doneret GPL-kode ... (og selv hvis man kan, ville uafhængige upstreams ikke løse det problem.)

Næh den er ikek vigtig, bare en forudsætning.. Det vigtige er at skabe et miljø hvor der er mindst mulig risiko for at interne partnere går amok. For sådan er det HVER gang.
Oracle, SCO, Nokia, Trolltech osv. Du er da den sidste der skal komme og brokke dig over noget, når du helt blåøjet lader platformen og dig selv blive kørt over.
Hvis du er så vild med Qt, og samtidig så ligeglad med Linux og frihed, så tag da springet og flyt over på windows!

Dine holdninger med et voldsomt had til Nokia, og uden nogen former for selvsamme til MS, er helt ude af proportioner. Faktisk synes jeg at du burde hoppe over på Windows. Mig bekendt jubler og støtter du jo også over Elops strategi. Derudover kan man jo ikke skrive om Windows-skat uden at du kommer rendende og forsvarer Windows. (og skrives der negativt om MacOS er situationen næsten den samme).

Hvis en arbejdsgiver tvinger ansatte til at tage en MS-phone til 3000 kr - hvor de ikke kan vælge i stedet at få en Android til 1500 kr, så kunne det tyde på at arbejdsgiveren ikke bekymrer sig specielt meget om penge .... (medmindre der er en meget god grund til at det skulle være Lumia - som jeg gerne vil høre ...). I givet fald er jeg ikke sikker på at vi behøver en indsamling ;)

Mit forhold til MS er hverken positivt eller særligt relevant. Kun tabere finder eksterne undskyldninger de ikke kan gøre noget ved, andre tør påpege egne fejl og gøre noget ved det.
Linuxs manglende succes på desktoppen er ikke MSs skyld, det er helt vores egen. Jeg kan ikke se hvorfor jeg skulle bruge krudt på MS, når der er så meget andet..

En difference på 1000-2000kr på et stykke kritisk IT-udstyr er pebernødder. Har jeg valgt den? Nej jeg har fået den udleveret med beskeden: "Her er din nye telefon, husk at holde den opladet!"

Vil du høre en anden hypotese? Du har ikke noget problem med hverken MS, Apple eller Nokia - og du har faktisk heller ikke et så stort problem med SWP. Tilgengæld har du et så stort had til Qt at du jubler over Nokias WP strategi - og du ville kun prøve at sige nej, såfremt din tlf havde været en N9. Herinde råder du boykot Nokia - men det er udelukkende fordi at du ikke ønsker N9-salg. Såfremt det var Lumia havde det ikke været noget problem. Jeg har bemærket at du er meget idealitisk på nogle få området - men desværre er det ikke en gennemgående logik, der præger disse holdninger. I en række andre sammenhænge gælder dine idealistiske regler ikke. Bl.a. Microsoftskat.

Også tilbage til det relevante: Jeg advokerer meget kraftigt for frie upstreams da de har en naturlig robusthed overfor MSs pengemagt. Med frie copyleftede upstreams kan MS intet gøre. Det kan de overfor Nokias dårlige økonomi.
Det er da meget flot at du kan brokke dig over MS, men nogen reel kamp mod dem vil du ikke. Fordi du er gået i total benægtelse overfor Nokias svineri.
Du vil gøre alt for at undgå MSskat, kan vi regne med det samme overfor Nokiaskatten? Altså et nej til at købe produkter der støtter det usympatiske firma?

Nokia er så langt i lommen på MS at MS ikke engang gider penge spilde tid og penge på at opkøbe dem, de har fået alle Nokia værdier gratis .

Jeg ville nærmere kendetegne den slags folk på de primitive udtryksformer, som de bruger - og ved deres holdninger om at spille på en hest, der ikke kan vinde. Du ønsker at lave restriktioner på open source, der gør uundgåeligt vil gøre at firmaer ikke vil gide at involvere sig i det (men i stedet trække sig). Faktisk er dine holdninger en større trussel mod Linux end din navnebror.

Nej, jeg erkender at ethvert SW patentbrug er svineri - også Nokias. Tilgengæld er alle med patenter (=mange - næsten alle større virksomheder incl Google) som potentielt farlige - og vi bør kæmpe for at SWP ødelagt helt. Politikere og medier kan forstå problemet når det handler om at Hanegal ikke må lave økologisk leverpostej - men ikke når det er software. Har du et løsningsforslag?
EDIT: Tilføjede sw ved patentbrug. Jeg er ikke modstander af patenter i fx medicinal-industrien.
